If teeth are not white all the way to the gum line and/or gums look red and inflamed, you need to see a vet immediately.

Lift the lip and check the color of the teeth AND the gums. Teeth should be white all the way to the gum line and gums should be a nice pink color. Not red or inflamed looking.

If you start when they are a puppy, this can be a great way to maintain your pet’s dental healthy but if you are starting when they are older, we found the smileWIPES to be easier for pets and people.

Bad breath in pets is usually caused by poor oral hygiene and periodontal disease. Plaque and tartar build-up and push the gums away from the teeth, exposing areas for bacteria to develop. The bacteria in turn do their damage which causes the unwelcome bad breath in pets.

Our product is essential oil based and has no added alcohol or water which is a healthier formula for pets. We use hydrosols of Lavender, Helichrysum and Peppermint with essential oils of Niaouli, Thyme Linelol and Peppermint.

Plaque is formed when teeth and gums are not properly cleaned after eating. It hardens into tartar in about 3 days which attaches to the enamel on the teeth and below the gum line.

If you pet has obvious build up on their teeth, you need to schedule a visit to a vet that can clean their teeth. We recommend a non-anesthesia method.
